Overview
The 2009 Toyota Sienna is a four-door minivan available in CE, LE, XLE, and top-of-the-line Limited trims. It is roomy, comfortable, comes loaded with various convenient features that make it a true family van. For 2009, 17-inch wheels and standard dynamic cruise control for the XLE trim have been added as optional features.
Power and performance
A 3.5L DOHC V6 engine with variable valve timing produces 266 hp and 245 lb-ft of torque in the 2009 Toyota Sienna. Mated to a five-speed transmission, this powertrain provides 17/23 mpg (city/highway). All four trims come with a front-wheel drive configuration, and the LE, XLE, and Limited trims offer all-wheel drive as an option. The all-wheel drive models provide a mileage of 16/21 mpg (city/highway). The Sienna is the only minivan in its class that provides an all-wheel drive option.
Body and styling
The 2009 Toyota Sienna, with a wide choice of model grades, combined with extensive standard equipment and thoughtful features, has truly outstanding value. It is available in seven-passenger (CE, LE, XLE, and Limited) or eight-passenger (CE and LE) configurations. The third row seats can be flattened to the floor for more storage space. The base CE trim is equipped with power windows and doorlocks, keyless entry, a six-speaker audio system, and no fewer than 14 cupholders. The XLE trim comes with a standard dynamic cruise control system. The upscale Limited trim comes with many more comfortable amenities.
Safety features
Side curtain airbags for all three rows of seats, side airbags for the front seats, front airbags, anti-lock brakes, as well as standard stability and traction control are some of the standard safety features on the 2009 Toyota Sienna. Daytime running lights are an optional feature.
